Golden Force (Xbox One)

The boss fights are genuinely challenging, and I love that you can revisit any level to grind for upgrades. Muscle Island’s bright colors make a nice change from the usual gloomy demon worlds.

I’ve been playing through the campaign with a friend, and the co-op really shines when you’re taking down the King of Demons’ gene-spliced minions together. The island exploration keeps things interesting, and the difficulty feels fair but challenging.

The gene-splicing mechanic for creating custom demon soldiers is surprisingly deep, I spent hours just experimenting with different combos. Muscle Island looks gorgeous in motion, even on Xbox One. Definitely getting my money's worth out of this one.
