LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 (PS4)

Playing as Groot and Rocket while battling through different Marvel realities is a blast, and I love that the game lets you fly across the city seamlessly between missions.

The time travel story is actually clever, though the open-world hub feels a bit empty compared to older Lego games. My kid loves playing as Groot, and the four-player co-op is a nice touch for family game night.

The roster is huge with all those Guardians of the Galaxy characters, and the open-world Chronopolis is fun to explore, though the loading times between areas feel a bit long. My kid loves switching between Groot and Rocket during co-op.
