Returnal (PS5)

The way the planet shifts and changes each time I die keeps every run feeling fresh, and the audio design is absolutely incredible through a headset. I've already sunk way more hours than I expected into this cycle.

The adaptive triggers make each weapon feel completely different, and the haptic feedback through the controller really pulls you into the alien world. Dying and starting over should be frustrating, but the fast-paced combat keeps me coming back for just one more run.

Took me about four runs before I really got into the loop, but now I can't put it down. The way each death sends you back with new items and story bits feels completely fresh.
