Gears of War: E-Day (Xbox Series X)

The opening cinematic hits so hard—you can feel the dust and dread of Emergence Day before you even pick up the controller. Marcus Fenix’s origin story makes every fight feel heavier, and the environments are disgustingly detailed. I’ve already replayed the first chapter twice just to soak it in.

The Lancer's chainsaw revs up with that satisfying rumble from the controller speaker, and the opening E-Day sequence had me on edge immediately. Really captures how brutal the Locust invasion was from the very first moment.

The atmosphere is incredibly tense right from the first mission, and the way they build up the horror of the Locust invasion feels fresh. I’ve been playing for hours and the combat still feels weighty and brutal, just like the old days.
