Robert P. ★★★★★

The roster finally gets the respect it deserves—each of the 12 kaiju feels wildly distinct, and tearing through Tokyo as Gigan is pure chaos. The remastered textures on Monster Island are a nice touch that makes the old arenas pop. I've sunk hours into this and I'm still finding new moves to chain.

Penelope ★★★★★

Destroya breath and tail whip combos feel way more fluid than I remember on GameCube. The Monster Island stage looks gorgeous in 4K, and the loading times are practically nonexistent. Definitely worth the nostalgia trip.

Miles ★★★★★

Fighting as Gigan on the rebuilt Tokyo map felt just as chaotic and fun as I remember from 2002. The remastered visuals make the monster designs pop, especially the glowing eyes in the darker stages.
