Category: Video Games Nintendo Switch

Morkull Ragast's Rage is a 2D video game that combines platforming and action with a touch of exploration. You will control Morkull, the villain of the story, who knows that he is a character in a video game, the existence of a player who controls him (that is, you) and of some developers who have created him (that is, us).

Your objective? Help Morkull escape from the Ragast so he can rule and carry out his evil plans around the world. Anyway, typical cliché villain.

Playing as the villain who knows he's in a game is such a clever twist, and the platforming feels tight and responsive. The included physical extras in the collector’s edition really add to the experience, making it feel like a complete package.

The hand-drawn art style is gorgeous on the Switch screen, and the way Morkull breaks the fourth wall about being a video game character is hilarious. The physical goodies in this collector's edition are a nice bonus, too.

The combat combos feel incredibly fluid on the Switch, and the concept of playing as a self-aware villain who breaks the fourth wall kept me hooked for hours.
