Aliens: Dark Descent (PS4)

The squad command system makes each firefight feel tense and strategic, especially when you’re trying to keep everyone alive through a hive. I’ve already lost a few marines to facehuggers, but it only makes me more careful on the next run.

The tactical pause feature is a lifesaver when everything goes sideways mid-firefight, and the squad AI actually feels like they're working with you instead of just soaking bullets. I've sunk about ten hours in and the tension of hunting Xenos through that moon base hasn't worn off yet.

I was worried the tactical pause feature might break the tension, but it actually lets me coordinate flanks without losing the horror vibe. The marine classes feel distinct enough that I’m replaying missions to try different squad setups. Only wish the load times between drops were a bit quicker.
