Chicken Run: Eggstraction (PS5)

Picking up right where the movie left off, the story mode is surprisingly deep for a platformer. My wife and I have been laughing non-stop at the cutscenes while trying to collect all the hidden eggs in each level. The controls feel tight and responsive, which is a must for this kind of game.

The split-screen co-op works perfectly for my nephew and me, with no lag even when the screen gets chaotic. We spent a solid two hours just trying to crack the vault level with the egg-timer puzzle.

My kids have replayed the co-op levels for the gang’s escape missions non-stop since it arrived, and the voiced cutscenes really pull them into the story. The two-player split-screen is smooth and chaotic in the best way, exactly what we hoped for from a family game night.
