Crypt Custodian (Switch)

I was immediately charmed by playing as Pluto the cat—the broom-sweeping combat feels surprisingly satisfying. The afterlife palace is full of secrets to uncover, and the map design keeps you exploring for hours.

I was pleasantly surprised by how tight the map design is—looping back to earlier rooms with new abilities feels great. The broom-sweeping combat is simple but satisfying, and cleaning up the afterlife actually makes sense with the world. Perfect for a few hours of cozy exploration on Switch.

The cleaning mechanic in this metroidvania is surprisingly satisfying, and the afterlife palace setting is beautifully weird. I spent hours just exploring every corner with Pluto the cat. Feels like a fresh take on the Zelda-like formula without being too punishing.
