Goodbye World (Switch)

The way this game weaves the struggle of two indie devs into actual gameplay mechanics is really clever. I was hooked from the opening scene and finished it in one sitting, the story just pulls you in.

This game nails the bittersweet feeling of creative burnout. I’ve already played through a few times, and the way it switches between Kanii and Kumade’s perspectives keeps the story feeling fresh. It’s a short experience, but the pixel art is gorgeous and the writing really hits home.

The dialogue between Kanii and Kumade captures that awkward tension of creative partnerships perfectly. I was hooked by how their college friendship unravels through the game’s branching story.
