I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive the Joy-Con motion controls feel during a match, making volleys back and forth with my nephew genuinely fun. The simple code-in-box download was quick to redeem too, so we were playing within minutes.

I was skeptical about a digital-only tennis game, but having four people play at once with motion controls is a blast — the simplicity makes it perfect for parties.

Swinging the Joy-Cons actually feels like a real forehand, and the motion tracking is spot-on even when I'm being lazy on the couch. It's a code-in-a-box, so no cartridge, but the download was quick and we had a doubles match going within ten minutes.
