Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree (Switch)

The world-building is so thick and immersive, I felt the weight of despair just from the opening scenes. The joy of finding hidden items really does feel like a precious treasure in this bleak setting.

The dark, oppressive atmosphere pulled me in immediately—the way the leaders control information and joy feels eerily relevant. I’ve already sunk five hours into exploring the brick-and-palisade world, and the story keeps twisting in ways I didn’t expect.

I was skeptical about a game built entirely around dialogue and choices, but the branching paths here feel genuinely weighty. The way the atmosphere shifts with your decisions kept me hooked for a full weekend, and I’m already planning a second playthrough to see what I missed.
