Resident Evil Requiem (PC)

The lighting effects in the mansion are genuinely terrifying, making every corner feel like a trap. I've jumped more times in the first hour than in most full horror games.

The inventory management feels tighter than ever, forcing you to really choose between ammo and healing items before each encounter. The new enemy AI keeps you on edge, making every dark corridor a genuine threat rather than a scripted jump scare.

The sound design in this one is incredible, every creak and distant footstep makes you tense up before anything even happens. I've been playing with headphones and the atmosphere alone kept me on edge for hours.
