Jagged Alliance: Rage! (Xbox One)

The turn-based combat feels properly tactical, and the quirky mercs actually bring some personality between firefights. I’m twenty hours in and the adventure elements keep it from getting stale. Can’t put the controller down.

The turn-based combat hits that old Jagged Alliance sweet spot, and the adventure elements add a fresh layer that kept me hooked for hours. Twenty years later, the mercs still have that same gritty charm.

Picked this up for the quirky mercenaries alone, and the turn-based combat brings back that classic Jagged Alliance feel. The adventure elements woven into the missions are a nice surprise, though the pacing can be a bit slow at times.
